Peter has 28 years’ recruitment and employee engagement experience, followed by five years in the Career Transition and Career Management arena. After compiling a Law degree, Peter joined leading recruitment company Austin Knight, where he remained for 18 years, and ran operations for them in Manchester, Leeds, Glasgow and, eventually, London as Managing Director.
Prior to 2007, he spent seven years with public sector specialists Tribal Group plc handling both large-scale senior level recruitment assignments and campaigns for a wide range of local authorities, the health service and the emergency services.
Peter has an engaging style and is readily able to empathise with people at many levels and from many backgrounds. Balancing his strong listening skills with directness, encouragement and enthusiasm, he is able to help individuals – and groups – focus on their strengths and apply them to their own situation. He is of course also able to apply his significant experience as a recruiter to bring insight into the employment market. A great believer in the strength and value of networking, he is always keen to empower people, enabling them to take responsibility for developing their own solutions.
