Press release: September 2009 'Productivity sapped by dispirited employees' The recession has turned many UK workers into corporate prisoners, stuck in jobs they would otherwise leave. Our latest research-backed green paper suggests that corporate prisoners are bad for business, damaging both morale and productivity. The author is Chiumento director Ian Gooden. Commenting on the findings Gooden said : " As organisations come out of the recession, most will find an element of mismatch between tasks they have to undertake to grow again and the talent they have to hand. They will have to face some very difficult decisions about their people. And so will those whose careers are now going to have to take a new direction."
