Chief Technology & Innovation Officer
My working relationship with Chiumento started in 2010 when I worked as a Knowledge Transfer Partner between Oxford Brookes University and Chiumento. The partnership was for 2 years, and in that time we learned a lot about what technology choices really do (or do not) work in a business like Chiumento. In 2012 and 2013, I worked with Chiumento as a part-time consultant, before finally joining the team in January 2014.
As Chief Technology & Innovation Officer, I have a broad responsibility for all internal and external technology adopted by the business. I also steer the technology strategy and IT development plan, and manage operations with third party suppliers, contractors and freelancers.
We are constantly looking for ways to intelligently use emerging technologies to provide better user experiences for our clients and delegates. Over the past few years we've undertaken some exciting digital projects that have transformed not only our service offering , but our way of working as a company. In 2017 we reached our aim of becoming a 'virtual organisation'. That's not to say we aren't a real company, we still very much exist, but we don't have a physical hub. All our core team, thanks to our investment in technology, are able to work remotely on a permeant basis.
Outside of work, I am simply 'Daddy' to my two little girls. Although my family take up most of my spare time, I do find time to play the occasional bit of 7 aside (5 aside if I’m feeling energetic!).
