Succession Planning Course Overview

Our succession planning workshop will help leaders understand the basics of succession planning and the tools to begin to develop a process. It will explore the different types of development processes that underpin succession planning including coaching and mentoring and introduce the concept of assessment for development. It will also look at how businesses may need to create specific, often time limited roles, to prepare individuals for the future.

We’ll also look at the challenge of internal mobility. That includes changing the mindset of line managers to see individuals as a corporate asset rather than a local resource. Persuading them to become champions of talent and recognising that their role is to facilitate movement around the organisation.

Training Location

Our talent management and succession planning sessions can be run wherever is most suitable for you and your team, whether that’s onsite, at an external venue or hosted as a remote online session. The flexibility is there to fit it around you and your needs.

Training Duration

This workshop can be run in one of three ways. As a half or full-day standalone session, combined with our other courses to create a full management training programme or as a short, condensed 2-hour speaker session.
