HR Advisor – Large multi-site retailer
FTC – 6 months to possible permanent
£27,000-£29,000 + 10% bonus
Working as part of a busy HR team you will provide a comprehensive and efficient HR/Employee relations service to head office and the multi-site network across the UK. Our client will give you the opportunity for continual development as they actively encourage their HR Advisors to get involved in projects, develop their team management skills and seek promotion to senior level.
You will build strong relationships with Managers at all levels, provide advice on policies and procedures, ensure legal compliance and coach on best practice across a full spectrum of HR issues.
Although you will operate as an employee relations advisor, handling ER case work this is a generalist role and will include recruitment & selection, sickness absence management, performance management, health and safety and redundancy etc. You will also be involved in HR projects including policy updates, management coaching sessions and contract reviews. You will ensure recruitment and HR administration is completed in a timely fashion, supporting colleagues in support roles as appropriate. You will also be drawn upon to contribute to projects and the process of continual improvement.
This post will offer continual development of both your skills and capabilities and would suit a candidate studying towards or who has achieved their CIPD or equivalent HR qualification, you will need some good generalist exposure behind you along with solid employee relations experience and sound knowledge of employment law. A can do attitude is essential and an aptitude to be able to manage or guide others desirable.
Ideally your background may be in HR/ER provision in manufacturing, retail, construction or distribution companies across multiple sites, this is not essential but large company experience will be.
