Client description:

My client is a highly successful multi-site business operating in both business to business and the trade sales sectors.  They have continued to grow their business even through the recession so there is still great demand on HR to provide a comprehensive and high quality service to the field and head office managers.


Role description:

This role supports the Senior HR Advisors and Managers in providing a great HR service and also oversees the day to day activities of the HR Admin team to ensure that all HR correspondence and recruitment administration is completed in a timely fashion.  This could prove a great move if you would like to increase your team management experience.

You will support managers by advising and coaching on HR best practice across a full spectrum of people issues.  This will include recruitment & selection, employee relations, sickness and absence management, performance management, disciplinary & grievance, redundancy and health & safety.

You will support, advise and communicate new HR policies and procedures, organisational change and HR system improvements to meet business needs.

You will support managers through the recruitment process, both internal & external, through to interviews and job offers.

As the role is head office based with some travel to site, a great deal of your support will be provided on a remote basis, it is therefore essential you are able to build professional and trusting relationships with managers at all levels, you must also be flexible in working arrangements in order to be able to meet the travel requirements demanded of the post.


Person Specification:

It is essential the right candidate has a solid generalist HR experience which must include handling complex employee relations issues and cases.  You will therefore need sound employment law knowledge and an understanding of Best HR Practice.  Experience of managing time limited projects would also be beneficial.

Key attributes sought are flexibility, attention to detail, team working and enthusiasm.

This role is one of continual development and you will be encouraged to develop your skills and capabilities including participation in projects and training events.
